Why This Workshop Matters

Chronic pain is one of the most common—and most challenging—clinical problems that health care professionals encounter. Persistent pain affects the body, the brain, and the spirit. Standard treatments often fall short, particularly when pain becomes entrenched, complex, or medically unexplained.

Clinical hypnosis offers a powerful, evidence-based tool to relieve suffering, change pain processing, and empower patients with greater control over their symptoms. But it can be challenging to employ effectively.

In this practical, two-day live intensive course, you will gain the skills and confidence to integrate clinical hypnosis into your work with pain patients to help them get pain relief—starting immediately.

What You Will Learn

You will learn how to help pain patients stop fighting their pain and teach them how to tame it instead so that they can get pain relief.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Evaluate patients to determine which hypnotic strategies to employ
  • Induce hypnotic analgesia and sensory modulation in patients with acute and chronic pain
  • Induce hypnotic analgesia and sensory modulation in patients with acute and chronic pain
  • Utilize behavioral, affective, sensory, imagery, and cognitive techniques to help pain patients improve their functioning and get pain relief
